How many more days will SAPGUI live?
It looks like many many more! While it seems like SAP is going places with its mySAPERP 2005 suite, the fact of the matter remains that the core of its business application suite (sans some new products like the Portal. XI, or CRM) would still be based on the plan old ABAP Kernel. Which means that users will still access the backend SAP functionality through the ol’ and familiar SAPGUI – which is a heavy client based GUI. Application Core really still is a much stabilized and solidified core that last came with R/3 Release 4.6C.
